Motivational Startup Music

I was on my way in to Fishburners today. It's a truly gorgeous Saturday and as I was coming in on the train enjoying the always awesome views you get from Edgecliff station to King's Cross and from King's Cross to Martin Place I was downing my cap with two and had my headphones on pumping "Born Slippy" by Underworld, "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes and "Nosebleed Section" by the Hilltop Hoods. I was scrolling through my play list looking for something to keep the music flowing to pump me up for a good day of Startup work when I hit on my audio of Steve Jobs Commencement Speech at Stanford.

I had a dilemma, I wanted to listen to both good music and the motivational speech.

Why can't I have both? Great speeches inspire me but tend to make me feel more reflective and passive. Upbeat music gets my heartbeat racing and makes me want to get the energy out but it pushes me to dance more than work. What if you could fuse the two together and have an upbeat dubstep, electronica, hip hop, rock, techno or dance track intetwoven with awesome motivational speechs - especially if they were pearls of startup wisdom? That would be worth paying a premium for for me.

What if instead of having "My humps, my humps, my humps my humps..." stuck in my head all day I could have "doof, doof, doof, stay hungry, doof, stay foolish, doof, doof, doof"? Wouldn't that help me internalise and absorb an awesome startup mindset while I'm waiting in line or riding the train? You gotta eat, live, breathe and rock out to startups (at least, I want to).

So I asked my main man of the musical persuasion and founder of killer photo community with daily deals site, Brett Fox, if he knew where I could turn. He recommended 8tracks.com. So I found this:

It's not quite what I was after exactly but it's a start. The best of these tracks is this one for me.

SEO has the SEO Rapper, what about a Startup Rapper? I think there's a real opportunity to create really catchy tunes based on repetitive axioms constantly looped in a high tempo dubstep track or mad hip hop beats. I want to walk around mumbling "Pivot, Persevere and Prosper - get out of the building...". The closest I got to a mainstream track that already has a great hook that applies to startups is this one.

Do you know of any other great startup music that winds you up and slingshots you into pushing your startup?
